Minor changes to the route may be necessary but this is generally the route, which is in red on this map. The boxed numbers in bold are the pit stops while circled numbers are segments.

The ride will begin and end at Meridian Hill Park (also known as Malcolm X Park). The route will open at or about 8:15 am. Please try to arrive at Meridian Hill Park by 7:45 or earlier to complete your registration and get your rider packet.
Metrorail opens on Sunday at 7:00 am with the closest station to Meridian Hill Park being U Street - Cardozo (13th street exit), served by the Yellow and Green lines. Please use the Metro trip planner to determine when your train arrives at the U Street Station. Street parking is limited at Meridian Hill. If you drive, street parking may not be available for several blocks.
The ride travels clockwise from Meridian Hill Park and will pass several points of interest. Feel free to bring your camera and send your pictures to pictures@1day1ride1cause.org so that we can post them on our website.
We will provide a complete list of things to bring but please bring at least the following items for your ride:
Participants will receive water and sports drinks before, during and after the ride. Snack food (bananas, oranges, etc) will be provided before and during the ride, courtesy of Giant Supermarket. Food will also be provided after the ride.
All participants will receive a "goodie bag" given to you after you return from your ride. The bags will contain your commemorative T-shirt, HIV/AIDS information, and items from our sponsors, including a "scratch off game" lottery ticket from the DC Lottery. We will also have our drawing for two tickets to anywhere Southwest Airlines flies in the continental United States. You may purchase raffle tickets 5 minutes before the drawing.
